Reopen Texas Bars
Governor Greg Abbott released his reopening plan for Texas last week, and he will now allow retail stores, restaurants, office buildings, manufacturing plants, museums, libraries and gyms to have 75% capacity for the state’s 19 hospital regions where coronavirus hospitalizations are less than 15%.
The problem?
Bars are to remain CLOSED.
Michael Klein, the head of Texas Bar and Nightclub Alliance, has called Abbott’s plan “completely unacceptable” and estimates that it could leave 30% of Texas bars and 39% of distilleries PERMANENTLY CLOSED within six months.
We need to tell Governor Abbott that his reopening plan should apply to Texas bar owners as well. Send an email to the Governor by filling out your information below.
